Fungal Toenail Treatment
We are delighted to be one of only 2 clinics in Scotland to offer Noveon Laser Nail treatment and Clearanail.
Until now, fungal nail treatments have been limited and often non effective. Noveon is a pulse of laser light directed through individual toe guards. The Noveon laser kills toe nail fugus beneath the nail without damaging the skin or causing pain. The laser is completely safe, there is a slight warming effect but apart from that there is no ill effects or long term effects from the laser.
As new nail surface starts to grow, the results become obvious. Depending on the severity of your infection, patients typically require around 4 treatments over a 3 month period.
Podiatry Plus are pleased to be able to offer you a fast and accurate test to confirm the presences of fungus in your nail. We no longer need to rely on tests that grow fungal spore which are often slow to carry out. We advocate the use of testing in all cases of suspected fungal infection. As the test results will be available during your appointment you can commence on your personal treatment protocol immediately. *Please note that there is a charge for this test
